I am suffering from the same problem with .xnk files. I get three files generated evrry time I start my computer (vista 64 with office 2007.) I fixed the file type issue and now Outlook opens the files as an email, one each from contacts, calender and mail. Every time I start the system I have to delete these messsages and answer the associated "are you sure" question. It is very irritating. I have looked all over the internet but I cannot find any indication of where these messages come from. My wife has an almost identical sysyem (different HP model) and she has no problems like this. I would appreciate anyone helping me with the origin of these files

Regards Alec

I'm always having problems with my emails. But yesterday happened a good event,I found in the Internet a next tool - outlook dbx extractor. The tool solved my problem for minutes and free of charge as far as I know. Besides the tool showed me one of its possibilities such as: repairs mailboxes in Outlook Express format and extracts emails, when it is possible.
